By accessing or using this website (the “Site”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use this Site.

1. Purpose of Website

This Site provides general, informational content only regarding Sound Sentinel Corporation and its products and services, including but not limited to:

  • Arms Recovery Unit Device (ARUD)

  • MI-5 Secure Monitoring Systems

  • Sentinel Shield, a worker-initiated safety and emergency assistance platform

Content on this Site does not constitute:

  • a binding offer,

  • a representation of availability,

  • a service-level commitment,

  • or an operational description governing deployed systems.

Actual use of Sentinel Shield, ARUD, or MI-5 products is governed solely by separate contractual agreements, deployment terms, privacy addenda, and policies executed with deploying organizations.

All content on this Site including text, graphics, videos, software descriptions, trademarks, product names, logos, and documentation is the exclusive property of Sound Sentinel Corporation or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display any content from this Site without prior written authorization.

3. Product Descriptions and Availability

Product descriptions, features, specifications, and conceptual explanations are provided for general reference only and may change without notice.

Certain products or features including components of Sentinel Shield may:

  • be subject to regulatory review,

  • require contractual authorization,

  • or be unavailable in certain jurisdictions.

SSC makes no representation that any product, feature, or capability described on this Site is currently available or suitable for a particular deployment.

4. Sentinel Shield – Operational Separation Clause

Sentinel Shield is a controlled-access safety system intended for use only by authorized organizations under formal agreement with SSC.

Use of Sentinel Shield is not governed by these Website Terms.

Operational use is governed exclusively by:

  • Sentinel Shield deployment agreements,

  • privacy policies and addenda (including Teacher & Worker Privacy Addenda where applicable),

  • applicable labour, privacy, and public-sector laws.

Nothing on this Site creates:

  • monitoring authority,

  • surveillance rights,

  • disciplinary permissions,

  • or employer control over Sentinel Shield data.

5. No Warranty (Website Content)

All information on this Site is provided

SSC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • accuracy,

  • completeness,

  • reliability,

  • fitness for a particular purpose.

This disclaimer applies only to website content and does not alter warranties or obligations contained in executed product or service agreements.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sound Sentinel Corporation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from:

This limitation does not modify liability provisions contained in signed Sentinel Shield, ARUD, or MI-5 contracts.

  • interfere with Site operations or security,

SSC reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for violations.

Operational use of Sentinel Shield is governed by separate, product-specific privacy documentation, including worker and union-protective addenda where applicable.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Waterloo, Ontario.

11. Changes to Terms

SSC may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
